Lasers produce highly focused, intense beams of light that are absorbed by dark pigments in the hair follicles beneath the skin's surface and converted to heat, destroying the follicles and preventing hair growth for up to two years.
Multiple treatments are required for complete hair removal -- the follicle must be "active" at the time of treatment, and not all follicles are active at the same time. Treatments are needle-free and do not require anesthesia. Most patients feel nothing more than a slight sting like the snap of a rubber band.
The advantage of the GentleYag laser is that it provides the benefits of skin tightening and wrinkle reduction comfortably, with no downtime, less expensively and with a much improved side effect profile. For patients with significant laxity of the skin, surgery may be the best option, and this should be determined at time of consultation.
The GentleYag laser creates a beam of high intensity light that penetrates deeply into the skin where it causes a deep heating of tissues and contraction of the skin. For the maximum long-term resolution, multiple treatments may be necessary. The number of treatments required varies with the size and depth of each vein but most veins will disappear in two to six weeks. Glycolic peels are the mildest form of chemical peels, which exfoliate the surface layer of skin to expose the fresher, younger-looking skin beneath. Glycolic peels are often preferred for minor skin problems, such as roughness, dryness, sun damage, fine lines and wrinkles, and treatments take only ten or 15 minutes.
Microdermabrasion improves mild to moderate sun damage, scarring, wrinkles and other superficial skin problems. A gentle stream of tiny particles exfoliates the outer layer of skin and provides a fresh, glowing, younger appearance.
Results are comparable to a light chemical peel and should be immediately visible.
Microdermabrasion is often performed in conjunction with other skin renewal procedures, such as laser treatment and chemical peels. Multiple treatments are recommended for full effect.

Waxing is a temporary method of hair removal , which removes the hair from the root. New hairs will not grow back in the previously waxed area for three to eight weeks. Almost any area of the body can be waxed, including eyebrows, face, bikini area, legs, arms, back, abdomen and feet .
New hair growth in waxed areas is soft and fine, not sharp and coarse like shaved hair. After repeated waxing for areas like the eyebrows and lower legs, hair regrowth is less common and eventually the hair will never regrow.
